PRESENTATION

In Canada there is no international platform where video artists and the audience can meet to discuss the real issues related to electronic media.

Through its contemporary approach Champ Libre seeks to provide Montreal with the opportunity of inscribing itself within a true video and electronic art identity. This will be brought about through the presentation of current Canadian and international video which will stimulate thought and contribute to make us look towards new directions.

The 1st Manifestation Internationale Vidéo et Art Électronique is also the creation of a singular place in Montreal's cityscape; a place dedicated to reflection and the increasing dissemination of video and electronic art images.
