PRESENTATION

Abandoned for forty years the Craig Pump House situated under the Jacques Cartier bridge received over 3000 visitors during the Cité des Ondes event: 5th Manifestation internationale vidéo et art électroniqe presented by Champ Libre from September 16 to 23, 2002.

Videos, installations, sound art, electronic music lectures and performances made up this program which included close to 70 artists from 20 countries.

Four guest curators presented programs that were intimately inspired by the spatio-temporal context of the Cité des Ondes—the Montreal urban communication cluster which houses numerous telecommunications institutions all of which are adjacent to the Craig Pump House.
