Après avoir repris la direction générale et artistique de Champ Libre, Cécile Martin a résolument entrepris de rassembler toutes les activités de l’organisme autour de la Manifestation et de ses forces, de créer une rencontre plus que jamais consommée entre art, architecture, nouvelles technologies et espace public, et en marquant le changement par la conversion du nom de cette biennale internationale, qui en est à sa 8e édition, en la MANIFESTATION INTERNATIONALE de CHAMP LIBRE.

A NEW DIRECTION, A NEW ORIENTATION, A NEW MANIFESTATION

After resuming the general and artistic direction of Champ Libre, Cécile Martin resolutely undertook to gather all activities of the organization around the Manifestation and its strengths, to create an encounter more than ever consumed between art, architecture, new technologies and the public space, while marking the change by the name conversion of this international biennale which is preparing its 8th edition, into the MANIFESTATION INTERNATIONALE of CHAMP LIBRE. Afin de souligner les 15 ans d’existence de Champ Libre et de rendre visible aux yeux de tous le réseau qui soutien son mandat et ses projets, l’organisme crée le premier MEMBERSHIP de son histoire.

POUR QUE LES ARCHITECTES SOIENT RECONNUS AUTREMENT QUE POUR LEUR CAPACITÉ À TRAVAILLER SUR DES PROJETS FONCTIONNELS DE CONSTRUCTION MAIS ÉGALEMENT POUR CRÉER DES LIEUX AU SEIN DESQUELS NOTRE SOCIÉTÉ SE RÉINVENTE.

In order to underline the 15 years of existence of Champ Libre and to make visible to all, the network that supports its mandate and its projects, the organization creates the first MEMBERSHIP of its history. IN ORDER FOR THE PUBLIC SPACE TO CARRY MEANING FOR OUR CONTEMPORARY SOCIETIES.

IN ORDER FOR NEW MEDIA ARTISTS TO EMPHASIZE THEIR PRACTICE IN THE PUBLIC SPACE AND THEIR CAPACITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CREATION OF THIS MEANING.

IN ORDER FOR ARCHITECTS TO BE RECOGNIZED OTHERWISE THAN FOR THEIR CAPACITY TO WORK ON FUNCTIONAL CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS BUT EQUALLY TO CREATE PLACES AT THE HEART OF WHICH OUR SOCIETY REINVENTS ITSELF.

LE 1ER MARS 2008 EST LA DATE LIMITE POUR L’APPEL DE PROJET INTERNATIONAL POUR LA 8E BIENNALE DE CHAMP LIBRE QUI AURA LIEU DANS LA QUARTIER INTERNATIONAL DE MONTRÉAL À L'AUTOMNE 2008.
 
 

C’est sous le thème: Forêt/Forest que Champ Libre prépare actuellement sa 8e MANIFESTATION INTERNATIONALE, événement biennal qui se déroulera du 24 au 28 septembre 2008 sur le site du Quartier International de Montréal (QIM). Nous rappelons aux artistes, commissaires, architectes, conférenciers que la date limite pour présenter un projet artistique à Champ Libre pour cet événement est le 1er MARS 2008.

It is under the theme: Forest/Forest that Champ Libre currently prepares its 8th MANIFESTATION INTERNATIONALE, biennale event that will unfold itself from the 24th till the 28th of September 2008 on the site of the QIM. We remind artists, curators, architects, lecturers that the deadline to present an artistic project to Champ Libre for this event is the 1st of MARCH 2008.
